CraftJobQuote privacy policy

Effective: 4 November 2026

The short version: CraftJobQuote has no account and no sign-up, and I do not collect, receive or sell what you enter in it. Your data stays on your devices and, if you use sync, in your own iCloud.

Who is responsible

CraftJobQuote for iPhone, iPad and Mac is made by Łukasz Stocki, an independent developer based in Poland.

These are the same details Apple shows on the App Store under the EU Digital Services Act.

The only personal data I ever hold is what you send me yourself, for example a support email, and the technical data this website's host handles (see "This website"). For that, I am the data controller. I have not appointed a data protection officer, as the law does not require one here.

What the app keeps, and where

CraftJobQuote stores what you enter on your device, inside the app's own storage:

These stay on the device you set them on: which fields the estimates search looks in, the last customer-preview layout, and window and pane sizes on the Mac. Appearance, list sorting and the currency for new estimates stay on the device too, unless you tick them under Preferences in iCloud sync.

If you type a person's name, phone number or other details into the app, that information stays in the same places as everything else you enter. It is not sent to me. Device backups follow your own system settings.

Sync between your devices

CraftJobQuote can keep a copy of your data in your own iCloud, in the app's private database there, so it appears on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account.

Sharing you start

Nothing goes to a customer until you tap Share to client and choose where it goes, for example Messages, Mail, AirDrop or Files. You can share an estimate as text or as a PDF.

Your hourly rate, hours, overhead, markup or margin, supplier links and their prices, and the private client name are never included, in any layout. Check the preview before you send it. Once sent, the copy is handled by the app or service you chose and by the person you sent it to.

Supplier links you save open in your web browser when you tap them. The app itself does not visit them.

What the app does not do

What Apple may share with me

Apple runs the App Store and handles purchases and downloads; I do not receive your name or payment details. If you have agreed, in your device's analytics settings, to share analytics with app developers, Apple may pass me crash reports and usage statistics that do not identify you. This is Apple's feature, and you can turn it off at any time in your device settings.

This website

This website is static. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics. Its host, Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.), processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver and protect the pages, as my processor. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running a working, safe website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Support emails

If you email me, I receive your email address and whatever you write. I use it only to answer you and to follow up on the same question. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering messages sent to me (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Writing to me is voluntary. Please do not send me your private costs or your customers' details; I do not need them to help.

I make no automated decisions about you and do not profile you.

Third parties

I do not share or sell your data to anyone. The only outside services involved are:

The app contains no third-party code that collects data.

Deleting your data

To delete an estimate, swipe it or use its menu and choose Delete. It moves to Recently Deleted, where you can restore it for 30 days; after that it is removed. To remove it sooner, open Recently Deleted and choose Delete permanently, or Empty Recently Deleted to clear everything there. Business profiles, common materials and preview templates work the same way. If you sync, the app asks whether to delete an item everywhere or keep it only on this device. Choosing Delete everywhere also removes it from your iCloud.

To remove everything the app keeps in your iCloud:

Menu names can differ slightly between system versions.

On iPhone and iPad, deleting the app removes the data stored on that device. On a Mac, deleting the app leaves its data on the computer: delete your items in the app and empty Recently Deleted first. I hold no copy of your app data, so there is nothing for me to delete. To have a support email deleted, write to stocki.lukasz+apps@gmail.com.

Your rights

Because I do not hold your app data, most requests about it are things you can do yourself in the app or in your Apple settings. For anything I do hold (support emails), you have the right to access it, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, object to its use and receive a copy of it. Write to stocki.lukasz+apps@gmail.com.

If you think your data has been handled wrongly, you can complain to a data protection authority. In Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, uodo.gov.pl. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you can also contact the authority in your own country.

Children

CraftJobQuote is a tool for makers and small trades who price their own work, and is not aimed at children. It collects no data from anyone, children included.

Changes to this policy

If the app or this website starts to handle data differently, I will update this page and its effective date before that change takes effect. The current version is always at this address.
